Simran is not a typical Bollywood masala film, it is based on a real life story. Starring Kangana Ranaut as the main lead, the shooting of this particular film has started in October 2016 in Atlanta, United States.

Talking about the story, Simran is a girl who loves to do the robbery in malls and shops. She has this unusual habit which she can’t control. The film is loosely based on the life of NRI lady Sandeep Kaur, who had been convicted in the United States for few robberies in the past.

Talking about Simran film budget, it is being made with an amount of 25 to 30 crores. The screen count of Simran film will be over 1200 to 1500 screens. There are no confirmations on the screen count from the maker’s side, but it won’t be less than 1200 screens. The screen time of Simran is 126 minutes. By looking at the above information, Simran first day collection will be around 2-3 crores, followed by 8-10 crores first weekend and the lifetime collection around 22 to 25 crores.

Simran is being directed by Hansal Mehta, who has already made many good movies like Shahid and CityLights in the past. His upcoming films are The Accidental Prime Minister and Omerta. Simran film also stars Soham Shah, Mark Justice, Hiten Kumar, Manu Narayan, Rupinder Nagra and many more. The film is slated to hit the theaters on September 15, 2017.

Altogether, Simran film has a good story and a lot will depend on the audience response on the first day.
