Very few Indian films cross the neighboring border China and turn out to be a hit film. One of such films is Dangal, which crossed 1254 crores in China in 2017. It was released on May 16, 2017, and runs over 2 months to be all-time big hit in China. At the latest, Aamir Khan’s last release Secret Superstar is set for release in mainland China, where the advance booking report is quite storming.

According to english.entgroup.cn report, Secret Superstar has already earned 0.64 million dollars (4.08 crores) with advance booking in 5 days. The advance booking started on January 12, 2018, and will be continued till its release on January 19, 2018. When it released in India, it had collected 63 crores nett collections lifetime and the gross collection was 83 crores. In the first phase of its overseas gross collection, Secret Superstar earned $ 6.48 million (41.48 crores). In the second phase of overseas, it released in Taiwan on November 24, 2017, and earned $ 0.28 million (1.79 crores). So, the total overseas collection after phase 2 is $ 6.78 million (43.40 crores). It is still running in Taiwan after two months.

Interestingly, China Is 60 to 70 percent bigger market than Taiwan and so impossible is nothing for this content-driven film Secrest Superstar. The third phase of this film will be released in China on January 19. In just five days, Secret Superstar has broken the advance booking record of Dangal in China, which is $ 0.40 million (2.56 crores). As Advait Chandan directorial movie already earned 6.39 crores in 5 days from Chinese Advance booking. Apart from that, Secret Superstar is set to beat the first-day record of Dangal in China which is 13 crores gross collection. As,, it is expected that Secret Superstar can collect 28 to 30 crores gross collection on the day 1.

Talking about the average ticket price of Secret Superstar in China is $ 3.98 which is 254 Indian Rupees. Till now, 25059 (around 25 percent screens) shows are already booked for this film and it is the highest advance booking for any film in China for January 19, 2018. In China, there are over 44, 169 screens and this film can release in over 10000 screens, which is a big record.

Altogether, Aamir Khan’s popularity with Dangal has grown immensely in China and this film will be yet another example of it.
