Ranveer Singh is one of the most talented actors of Indian Cinema. Within a short span of time, he has made a name for himself by play good roles in Band Baaja Baaraat Bajirao Mastani, and Galiyon Ki Leela Raasleela. At the latest, Ranveer has been signed for Kabir Khan’s biopic on Kapil Dev.

Confirming the news to Bollywoodlife.com, Kabir Khan said, “I had no idea then that from that day on cricket in India would change forever. As a filmmaker, the journey to that win, filled with the raw energy and sheer passion of a young Indian team, is probably one of the most exciting stories I have worked on. It’s great to have Ranveer come on board as Kapil Dev, as honestly, I could see no one else in the role since I started working on the script.”
In this biopic, Ranveer Singh will replay the golden memories of India winning the Cricket World Cup for the first time. It was a historic moment for Indian cricket fans on June 25, 1983, as India won World Cup.
Kabir Khan’s previous movie Tubelight tanked at the box office. We hope, his next film on Kapil Dev turns as a successful film.
