Ramayana is one of the biggest films of all time in terms of budget and scale is coming this Diwali on November 6 or 8, 2026 in India and Worldwide. Now, the good news here is, Sony Pictures, who is releasing this film Internationally will also release the film in China on the same date.
Earlier, few Indian films which released in China have got censor certificate only after 5-6 months, like in the case of Dangal (2016). Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) got released in China after 2-3 years that too only after Dangal success in China. So, in that way, Ramayana is releasing on the same date as in India, is a great achievement for Indian Film Industry.
Sony Pictures has released Ramayana Trailer in Chinese for Chinese audience and the film title also changed as “Ramayana: The Legend Of The Prince.” Ramayana trailer which released in China is not a dubbed Chinese version but an original Hindi version with Chinese Subtitles.
Interestingly, Ramayana Trailer is getting good response in China all thanks to Director Nitesh Tiwari, who also the director of Dangal and this film. So, the makers are presenting this film in China as Dangal’s director Nitesh Tiwari directorial Ramayana. So, the audience is curious and excited in China too.
Talking about screen count, we have heard that makers are trying to release Ramayana in 50000 screens outside India. In USA alone there is 39000 screens and in China alone there is 86000 to 89000 screens. So, if I am not wrong, Ramanaya movie could release over 60000 to 65000 screens if all goes well.
Overall, Ramayana has stormed China’s social media and the brewing good relations with India and China will also help more Indian films to release in Chinese market without any hurdle.
