Raja Shivaji is a full-fledged Marathi film and it has also released in Hindi version as well. The film has performed over the expectations and it has shattered all previous day 1 record by a big margin.
Made with a mammoth budget of 100 crores, Raja Shivaji has collected somewhere around 11 crores nett in Marathi and Hindi version. The previous day 1 opener for Marathi industry was Sairaat (2016) which collected around 3.75 crores on day 1. That record has been broken by miles now by Raja Shivaji. Released in 1200 screens across Maharashtra and India, this film has done great on Maharashtra Day holiday on May 1. Now, this film has entered on day 2 and all eyes are on its collections.
Raja Shivaji movie is selling 14k plus tickets by 10 am, which is similar to day 1. That also meaning that this film may even cross the ticket sales record set by day 1, where it was selling over 18k by the late afternoon. Raja Shivaji film has 30 percent occupancy in the morning shows. Riteish Deshmukh starrer film expected to earn around 10 to 12 crores nett, if not less. That will take the two days total around 21 to 23 crores nett maximum.
Directed by Riteish Deshmukh himself, this film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Genelia D’Souza, Bhagyashree, Sachin Khedekar and many others. Even, Salman Khan is there in a cameo which is a treat to watch.
