Panchayat Season 2 has officially released on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on May 18, 2022. The total screen time of this situational drama web series is around 4 hours 45 minutes with each episode consisting of 30 to 35 minutes.

Story: The story is set in Fulera village, Baliya district in Uttar Pradesh where Jitendra Kumar aka Abhishek Tripathi essays the role of a Panchayat secretary. In the first season we see that Abhishek had lot of issues in his job as he had to stay in the village and get accustomed with the village’s life. Though, he didn’t liked the atmosphere still he had to stay there for the job but he always studies to get a better job. Well, in the second season, Abhishek is used to the life of the village and starts liking his job. Though, he still want to leave the place for a better job. Well, the dynamics in the village has been changed now. The story has been moved forward and here we see that there is main road in the village which need to be constructed and for that they all need MLA fund for that. The village politics has also been shown in this season. Apart from that, Raghuvir Yadav aka Brij Bhushan Dubey aka Pradhanji daughter Sanvikaa aka Rinki also being introduced in this season. There is some sort of love angle can be seen between Abhishek and Rinki. Apart from that, there are many small memorable instances that will make you feel happy. Well, the question here arises, will the village gets a new road or not is what you need to watch in this season 2.

This web series also stars Neena Gupta aka Manju Devi, Chandan Roy aka Vikas, Faisal Malik aka Prahlad Pandey, Durgesh Kumar and many others.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story has been set in a village in Uttar Pradesh and it has been beautifully written which is relatable. It has equally well directed by the Deepak, who made sure to stay true to the story. Well, if I had to compare with the first season, the season 1 was way better as compare to season 2. Still, comparing both the season is not good, as season 2 is a forward story of the first season and it has its own charm. The season 2 is focused not just on Abhishek but also it has been focused on Pradhanji. The season 2 seems a bit out focused in the middle but ended on a strong note. The things which are missing in today’s movies and web series are emotions and rural based stories. Despite few issues, Panchayant Season 2 has worked well for me and will surely being liked by others too. Except few bad words, rest of the series is bang on point. Lot of emotions pour down in the last episode of this season 2 and you will understand why. Definitely, such web series should always get an extension and should be made available in other languages too that it can be reached to maximum audience. Talking about the performance, everyone is superb in their roles but Raghuvir Yadav is someone who is brilliant. Even the dialogues are hard hitting and you can feel it.

Panchayat Season 2 budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly been around 3 to 5 crores maximum.

Altogether, Panchayat Season 2 ends on a strong note and you can feel the pain and tears if you end the season 2 after binge watching.
