Padmavati is a historical movie based on the novel Padmavat, which is releasing in December 2017. The pre-production work of this film had started in July 2016 and it took almost a year to complete this grand movie. The sets of Padmavati has been vandalized at several occasions but the makers have completed the movie as per the schedule. Here, I will talk about the details of Padmavati movie.

Earlier, Padmavati was about to release on November 17, 2017, but now it has been scheduled to release on December 1, 2017. Due to Padmavati’s effect, Amitabh Bachchan starring 102 Not Out release date has been changed from December 1, 2017, to 2018. As no makers want their movie to clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand epic Padmavati.

The making budget of Padmavati is around 170 to 180 crores. This is not the first time that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film budget is so big, we have already seen Bajirao Mastani, which made with a budget of over 145 crores in 2015. Interestingly, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are working with SLB for the third time. Shahid Kapoor is working with the director for the first time.

Padmavati screen count will be over 4000 to 4200 screens, it is due to solo release. This is a grand film in every possible way and you can compare it with Baahubali 2, which was being made by spending over 250 crores. Padmavati is co-produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions. This film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh, and Sonu Sood in key roles.

By looking at the above perspective, Padmavati first day collection prediction will be around 18 to 20 crores, followed by 40 to 45 crores the first weekend. The lifetime collection will be around 120 to 130 crores.

Altogether, Padmavati is one of the costliest films of 2017 in Bollywood and we hope that atleast it recovers the budget.
