Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial film Padmaavat has completed 26 days at the box office. It is currently entered the fourth weekdays and the collections are still a good one. Even, it has done better collection that new release Aiyaary on the fourth Monday.
Padmaavat has collected 166.50 crores in its first week, followed by 69.50 crores on its second week. The third-week collection was 31.75 crores and the fourth weekend earning is equal to 8.75 crores. It has earned 1.55 crores on day 26, which takes the overall total to 278.05 crores.
Interestingly, Padmaavat is inching close to 280 crores and it will soon beat the lifetime collection record of Dhoom 3, which has collected 284 crores. It may not touch 300 crores mark at the box office, but it will surely cross 290 crores lifetime, with the same momentum.
Padmaavat was embroiled in controversies during the release, still, it has managed to win audience heart. It was being made with a budget of 200 crores and now it is in the profitable run. Still, this film wasn’t able to release in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh or the collections would have crossed 350 crores.
This film stars Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles. It was released on January 25, 2018.
