Naradan movie is the latest Malayalam film which has officially released in cinema theaters on March 3, 2022. The screen time of this political drama thriller movie is around 2 hours 30 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around a senior journalist and news anchor Tovino Thomas aka Chandraprakash, who is under pressure for giving good stories and breaking news to the news channel. On the other hand, he has immense pressure to perform just like other rival news channels. In spite of breaking down as a news journalist, he decides to start his own news channel where he is bound by no rules from his seniors. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Naradan is not just a movie but it deals with the yellow journalism practice that is reportedly spreading in the electronic news media. The race to become Number 1 news channel at any cost has been showed in a detailed way in this movie. This film also depicts how fabricated stories are being presented in front of the audience to lure their attentions. News channels rivalry issues also being discussed in this film. So here, Tovino essays the role of a journalist Chandraprakash who is famous news anchor but still he is facing difficulties to hold his job. As his seniors are not happy with his performance and demands big stories from him like other news channels. So, he decides to do something different that not only make him famous but might also change the course of Electronic news media. Talking about the performance, Tovino shines as news media anchor, Anna as a lawyer and Indrans as a judge. This story has been cleverly presented by the director and the movie holds your attention throughout without a single dull moment. The cinematography is good and the musical score is praiseworthy. The editing is decent and the backdrop of a news room looks authentic and real. The core message of this film talks about the journalistic ethics in current times and how news media fails to follow it. The story of this film turns exciting in the second half and the last 30 minutes is the highlight of this film.

Naradan movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet by the makers but it could reportedly be around 4 to 5 crores maximum.
