This film talks about his life in the 30s era and 40s era and how he end up writing Citizen Kane movie. His alcoholism has took a toll of his health, despite that he went on to work several years in Hollywood. Watch this film, to re-witness the glorious black and white era of real Hollywoodland, back in those days.

Gary Oldman as Mank is the perfect choice for this role. It seems Mank got a new life in Gary on screen. This is a perfect tribute through this film to legend Mank.

This cinematography of this film has been done by Erik Messerschmidt, whose visuals are stunning and remind you of the early Hollywood films. The editing work has been done by Kirk Baxter, who did good editing and gave black and white tone to the movie. I personally liked the way screenplay moves back and forth, thanks to Jack Fincher.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Honestly, I felt that I was in 1930’s and can feel every scene of this film. I loved the production design and the era that is almost 100 years old. It was a nostalgic feel for me and want many more movies to be made about our old Hollywood legends of those era.

Altogether, Mank is a must watch film for all the cinema lovers. I won’t be at all doubtful if Gary Oldman won an Academy Award for this.

Last word: Watch it for Gary Oldman and his incredible performance as Mank. Also watch it for the screenplay, music, production design, cinematography and performance.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: Brilliant (80 Percent out of 100).
