Kanguva movie has officially released in theaters on November 14, 2024. The screen time of this adventure drama film is reportedly around 2 hours 34 minutes. This film has been certified UA rating by Indian Censor Board.
Story: The story start with a child name Zeta aka Poruva has been absconded from a laboratory in Russia and he is now spotted in Goa. On the other hand, we see Suriya aka Francis aka Kanguva and his ex-girlfriend Angela who are the bounty hunters operating in Goa. One fine day, we see Francis saw Zeta in Goa and find his behavior wierd. We soon see that, Francis And Zeta have some past life connection which is dated back to year 1070. Well, The film also stars Bobby Deol aka Udhiran who wants to kill Kanguva at any cost in 11th century. This film shows a strong connection between Kanguva and Poruva which is the best thing about this movie. What happens when Kanguva and Udhiran face each other forms the rest of the story.
This film also stars Yogi Babu as Francis Friend, Kovai Sarala as Disha Patani’s friend, K S Ravikumar, Mansoor Ali Khan and many others.
Story: The story is good and nicely written but the presentationis not good. The screenplay has lot of issues, which makes this film boring at various junctures. The best thing about the film is the cinematography which works wonders on big screen. Second best thing about this movie is the costumes and makeup which is great. Talking about the performances, Suriya and the child actor have done a good job here. The comedy actors are pathetic in this film. Bobby Deol character has been badly written and it is cringe to next level. The background music is too loud and the constant scream by all the characters make this overall experience as unbearable. The dubbing work is decent but it could have been much better. The music is forgettable too, the only song I liked comes in the first half titled Fire Song. The hardwork done by the director Siva is really applaudworthy but still alot has to be done in direction department. There is hardly any emotions in this film which is why it is hard to connect with the characters. My favorite Crocodile scene comes in the second half, which is the best I feel. One thing I am sure, Hindi movie going audience won’t like this film. Even, the film not make a big impact in Tamil market.
Kanguva movie has been co-written and directed by Siva. It have been produced by K E Gnanavel Raja, V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati. The cinematography has been done by Vetri Palanisamy and editing done by Nishad Yusuf. The music has been given by Devi Sri Prasad.
Made with a reportedly budget of 350 crores, this film is certainly turn out to be a disaster at the box office.
Altogether, another failed Bahubali making attempt by the makers. Everything is overdone in this film which is not at all needed.
Last Word: One time watch only if you are superstar Suriya fan otherwise you can easily skip it. Karti has done the cameo in Kanguva.
