A remake version of cult film Ittefaq, which was released in 1969, has released in the theaters today. It is not at all similar to the original film but has the same of plot and structure. The old film stars Rajesh Khanna, Nanda, and Iftekhar. And the remake one stars Akshaye Khanna as a Police Officer, Sidharth Malhotra, and Sonakshi Sinha.
As this film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, so they made sure to promote this film in a unique way. Interestingly, there are no spoilers out of this film yet and that’s an amazing task.
Talking about the first review, it was being given by Aalim Hakim on Twitter. After watching this suspense film, he said, “Just Saw Ittefaq starring Sidharth Malhotra – it’s one of your best film and great performance. Sonakshi Sinha Superb and Akshaye Khanna brilliant.”
He further said, “Ittefaq is one of the best suspense thrillers of Indian Cinema. Each and every scene of the film keeps you on the edge. Brilliant editing and crisp direction by Abhay Chopra has made the film so sharp and edgy that it keeps you so engrossed.”
He also added, “Sidharth Malhotra has performed his character brilliantly. Sonakshi Sinha is too good. Akshaye Khanna is such a fine actor that anybody can fall in love with him and Akshaye is in supreme form. Very rare you get to see this kind of brilliant performance. Ittefaq is a winner all the way and people are gonna love this edgy thriller. Big thumps up.”
Directed by Abhay Chopra, this film was being made with a budget of 20 crores, excluding 8 crores promotions. It was released on over 1500 screens in India.
Altogether, Aalim Hakim first review of Ittefaq movie gives us a signal that it will easily get over 3 stars from Bollywood critics.
