Gulabo Sitabo was one of the first proper big Hindi film to be directly released on OTT Platform on Amazon Prime on June 12,2020. The film wasn’t being promoted much as it is being released in Covid-19 situation and that too online. Now the big question is, what is the box office collection of Gulabo Sitabo or whether its hit or flop?

Well, everybody is accustomed to the age-old box office figures of Bollywood movies but now it seems a difficult task to tell the fate of the movie which released directly online. Same is the situation for Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmaan Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo.

Before concluding the fate of Gulabo Sitabo online, we better talk about how it got reviewed. It has got mixed to positive reviews from media houses. Well, that’s not the case for netizens, who got bored with the movie. Despite being a good plat and perfect actors, Gulabo Sitabo did disappointed a bit to fans. On movie rating website IMDB, this film got 6.5 ratings. Even, it got 71 percent response from reviews aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.

No one knows, how much Amazon Prime bid for this movie for exclusive premiering,but it would certainly be in the profitable zone for the makers. As, no proper production amount is disclosed so one knows the exact budget of the movie. So, we know neither the budget nor the amount it has been sold. That means, here we can only judge a movie by critics and audience response.

By looking at the online scenario of Gulabo Sitabo, it didn’t got well with the audience. That means, if it would have released in theaters, it could have been a disaster. But here in OTT, this film is definitely a hit for the producers but i think it seems an average performer on the platform as people didn’t liked so much.

Altogether, Gulabo Sitabo looks like an average affair for audience and didn’t gave the kind of jump the platform needed with such films.
