Story: The story of this film revolves around Akash Thosar aka Raju who is a nonveg cook works in a Dhaba in Kolagad area. He is orphan and now on the verge of getting married. Well, bride’s father want Raju to have his own home in order to get married. One fine day, a docait group headed by Sayaji Shinde aka Pallam enters the dhaba and captured Raju as he makes good biryani. While living with gangsters, Raju got to know that if gangsters surrenders to police than police give them house. So now, Raju, who wants to get married to Sayli Patil aka Laxmi, turns gangsters and then he plans to get surrender to police for house. He even plans to give tip to police about these gangsters in return of some time. Well, the third main character is Nagraj Manjule aka Police Inspector Raya Patil who transferred to Kolagad area and wants to kill Pallam. What will happen when Pallam, Raya Patil and Raju faceoff each other? This is what you will understand when you watch this movie in theaters.
This film also stars Tanaji Galgunde, Somnath Awghade, Suraj Pawar and many others.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story has been nicely written by Nagraj Manjule and Hemant Awtade. Note, the first half is full of dark comedy but it is the second half which is full of action and serious performances. The story is well written and the dialogues making the story even more richer. The film is around 3 hours but still it is interesting to the core. Yet, few scenes could have been avoided for better cinema experience. The direction is superb but I feel he can do much better than this. Though, this is a pure masala action film which is not related to reality. Still, you can easily connect with the three main protagonist and their different worlds. The production value is good by Zee Studios And Aatpat Production. The background music is superb and the songs adds value. My favourite scene, when Raya Patel takes his belt and beat down MLA son. Talking about the performances, Sayaji Shinde stole the show along with Nagraj. Akash could have made more impact but still he is ok in terms of performance. The impact of the overall film is missing and I feel this film could have been much better than this. Still, it has all the masala element and surely a one time watch in theaters.
Directed by Hemant Awtade, this film have been produced by Nagraj Manjule and Bhushan Manjule. The cinematography has been done by Vikram Amladi and the editing done by Kutub Inamdar. The musical score has been given by A V Prafullachandra.
Ghar Banduk Biryani movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet but it could reportedly being around 8 to 10 crores maximum.
Altogether, Ghar Banduk Biryani is a decently made film and definitely worth for your money for one time watch.
Last Word: Watch it for Sayaji Shinde and Nagraj Manjule.
