Doctor is the latest release in Tamil Nadu on October 9 and it has done tremendous collection business on day 1. As per the latest report, Sivakarthikeyan film has went on to become the third highest opening film of 2021.

In January 2021, Thalapathy Vijay starrer Master movie has collected 25.40 crores gross collection on day 1. On the other hand, Dhanush starrer Karnan has able to mint 10.40 crores on day 1. And now, Doctor is the third film of Tamil Nadu to earn 6.40 crores gross on day 1. It has opened well in over 900 plus screens in Tamil Nadu.

Doctor movie also released in Telugu circuits with a new name Varun Doctor. This film has released in over 100 screens and able to earn around 22 lakhs share collections on day 1. In sort, the first day total collection of Doctor movie in India will be somewhere around 6.75 crores gross.

Doctor movie has been written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The word of mouth of this film is incredible and it has been almost housefull in Tamilnadu in almost all the single screens and multiplexes. The second day collections could be in a range of 8 to 10 crores, as per the early Sunday response in theaters.

Doctor movie is a well-packaged black comedy that has worked out for the audience. This film also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Milind Soman, Yogi Babu and many others.
