Collar Bomb movie has officially released on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 9, 2021. The screen time of this murder mystery genre film is around 1 hour 26 minutes.
The story of this film revolves around Jimmy Shergill aka Manoj Hesi who is a senior Police officer doing job in Himachal Pradesh. His son Naman Jain aka Akshay studies in St. George School in Himachal. One day, suddenly, a terrorist Sparsh Srivastava aka Ali breaks into this school and decides to kill everyone. Ali enters with a gun and a bomb placed on his collar and body. Now, Manoj Hesi wants to save his son and all other school kids. Well, it was later clear that it is not a terrorist attack but a revenge attempt on Manoj Hesi, who did something unfortunate in the past. Will, Manoj Hesi’s dark ugly secret will ever be revealed or will he able to save the life of kids inside the school is what this story is all about.
This film also stars Asha Negi, Rajshri Deshpande, Ajay Purkar, Shashi Bhushan, Suman Singh and many others.
The early reviews of Collar Bomb movie is out and they are in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5. On IMDB, Collar Bomb holds a rating of 5.6 stars out of 10.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Collar Bomb is one a hotchpotch film that didn’t come out perfectly. The lack of emotions and raw story didnt get mixed properly and even the characters were not fully established. Despite a good attempt to bring something new, the makers failed to make it a gripping affair. The starcast was good but the outcome was below the level. The visuals and locations were good as it gave us a fresh vibe. This film could have been 20 to 25 minutes more longer to establish all of its characters. The screenplay was too fast to digest and that’s where the film fails in a big way. Still, the twist in the end has made me surprise to some extent. The film was good with its production value. If the makers would have made this film a little more intense, than it would have worked for us.
Collar Bomb has been directed by Dnyanesh Zoting. It has been produced by Vikram Mehra, and Siddharth Anand Kumar. The cinematography has been done by Jitan Harmeet Singh and the music department has been handled by Anshuman Mukherjee. The editing work have been handled by Anurodh Gusain and Praful Sawant.
Collar Bomb movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it would reportedly be around 3- 5 crores maximum.
Altogether, Collar Bomb is a flop affair that didn’t lived up to the expectations.
