Popular Bollywood actor and comedian Jagdeep aka Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jaffrey passed away in Mumbai on late hours on July 8, 2020. Though the death reason is yet unknown but he was aged 81.

Born on March 29, 1939,Jagdeep has started his film career with Afsana as a child actor in 1951 and went on to work in many big Bollywood movies. He placed himself as a comedian from the film Brahmachari. He will always be remembered for his character Soorma Bhopali from Sholay movie. He even directed a film Soorma Bhopali in 1988. Jagdeep was last seen in Gali Gali Chor Hai in 2012.

On the personal side, he is survived by 6 kids including Javed Jaffrey.

Some of Jagdeep’s other notable films were Andaz Apna Apna, Purana Mandir, Qurbani, Agent Vinod, Bidaao and many others.
