The story is set is Bareilly and revolves around the life of Kriti Sanon aka Bitti Mishra. She thinks that no one can understand her feelings and thoughts. Well, while reading one of the novels, she fell in love with the author. She feels that the author is the only person who can understand her. Soon she met book’s printer Chirag Dubey (Ayushmann Khurrana) who promises her to find the author Pritam Vidrohi (Rajkummar Rao) for her. But who has actually written the book is the twist in the story.

The film starts with the voice of Javed Akhtar, who introduces every character in the movie. Bitti Mishra, who has been nurtured like a son, has a habit of smoking and drinking. Even her parents don’t have any problem with that and that’s something really interesting. Whoever comes to see Bitti for the marriage, reject her due to her manly behavior. She is also fed up with life and the patriarchy around her. Meanwhile, she gets a hold of a book named as Bareilly Ki Barfi. After reading the book, she realized that the author is the only person who can understand her. What happens then and how she caught between the love triangle of Chirag Dubey and author Pritam Vidrohi is the story.

Music, Screenplay, and Direction:
The music of this film is being composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Tanishk Bagchi, Samira Koppikar, Sameer Uddin and Vayu. The music looks promising and indulges in the story quite perfectly. There are some cliches in the screenplay in the film and that might irritate you in the first half. The directed is promising from Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari who earlier helmed Nil Battey Sannata.

Last Word: A Single Time Watch film with clean comedy and honest performances. Rajkumar Rao stole the show.
