Earlier, the makers of Bell Bottom has squashed such reports of OTT release of Bell Bottom and says that they are more likely to come in theaters only. The release date of Bell Bottom movie was scheduled for May 28, 2021. And we all know that this release date is impossible now and theaters in India is completely closed due to severe lockdown restrictions.
In such a crucial point of time, it is now coming up that Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom movie is coming on Amazon Prime and that too on Independence Day weekend. LetsOTT.com reports that Bell Bottom is a direct OTT release now and DisneyPlus Hotstar is no longer in the forefront as Amazon Prime has bagged the film’s digital rights.
The last time, the producers of Bell Bottom have refuted such reports and we hope they clear the air soon for Akshay Kumar fans and general audience.
Bell Bottom movie has been directed by Ranjit Tiwari. It stars Vaani Kapoor, Hina Qureshi and Lara Dutta in key roles. It is being reported that, Akshay took a big pay cheque of around 100 crores for doing Bell Bottom movie, though no official confirmation on the same.
Altogether, one thing is true that Bell Bottom won’t be waiting for a theatrical release in such tough times and OTT is the best route possible for them. Recently, Salman Khan’s Radhe also released in a hybrid model and it did have a successful run as per OTT giant Zee Entertainment. So, we could hope for best from Bell Bottom.
