Story: We see the movie start with Ravi Behl aka Ravi Kapoor who is in love with Divya Dutta aka Urmi but couldn’t able to marry her as his big brother Jackie Shroff aka Suraj Kapoor is yet to marry. One fine day, destiny favours Suraj and he met Manisha Koirala aka Shivangi. Knowing much about her past, Suraj starts flirting Shivangi and they get married. Well, it seems happy ending here but the actual movie starts here when Nana Patekar aka an ex-army man Vishwanath claims that Shivangi is her wife and her name is Madhu. Well, is Madhu and Shivangi the same girl? If Madhu has married than why she again marries to Suraj. What happens when Suraj got to know about the past of Madhu aka Shivangi? This is what you need to watch in this film, which is also available on Youtube.

This film also features Alok Nath aka Madhu’s father, Ashalata Wabgaonkar, Achyut Potdar and many others.

The reviews of Agni Sakshi was positive and it was turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 1996. This film has received 6.2 stars ratings on IMBD and around 57 percent ratings on RottenTomatoes website.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story was relatable and new in the 90s era. The dialogues were catchy and simple to understand. The casting was superb which made this film super special till now. Especially, Nana Patekar whose role is so complex and so terrifying that you don’t know what he will do next. Nana is the only actor who could give justice to such a difficult role. There are scenes of Nana with Manisha in this film which are the highlight of this movie. One particular scene which every body would have loved when Vishwanath questions Madhu when she goes for shopping and returns late! Another interesting scene is the climax, when you think all is well and Nana will not return to hurt Madhu! What happens will shock you. It is not one of those masala Bollywood films that were made during 90’s era, it is a pure cinema experience. Even, Manisha’s role had variations and you will relate to it. Such things happen in Indian society and even in other countries, when female are being treated miserably by their husbands. So, this movie, shows a ray of hope for women and their second chance in life, if first goes in vain. Not a normal film at all, I liked the story and its twist which unfolds slowly and revealed in the end. The screenplay is good and the story flow has no issues as per me. My favourite song of this film is O Yaara Dil Lagana. This is one such film that you could watch numerous times and still feel new. The production value of this film is good. I also feel director Partho has worked really hard make this powerful cinema.

Agni Sakshi movie has been written by Partho Ghosh. It have been written by Ranbir Pushp and Hriday Lani. It has been produced by Binda Thackeray. The cinematography has been done by K V Ramanna and the editing work handled by A R Rajendran. The musical has been given by Nadeem Shravan and background music taken care by Naresh Sharma.

The budget of Agni Sakshi movie hasn’t been revealed but it could reportedly being around 5 crores maximum at that time.

Altogether, Agni Sakshi is a powerful film that leaves deep impact to people’s life.

Last Word: Watch it for its story, Manisha and Nana Patekar.
