One of the best crime thriller series by Zee5 OTT platform is Abhay, which released back in February 2019. After seeing the success of its first season, the makers released its second season between August and September 2020.

There were 8 episodes in the second season, whereas each episode has a screen time around 35 to 40 minutes. I personally liked the twist and turns in this series. As there is few small villains and one supreme villain in this web series.
Ram Kapoor has played the main antagonist in Abhay season 2, who kidnapped dozens of kids from a school bus. The villain only wants to talk Kunal Khemu aka Superintendent Of Police, Abhay Pratap Singh. Ram give different task to Abhay and when the latter solve the case, the former releases few kids. Yes, there is always time ticking for Abhay as he wants to save all the school kids kidnapped by Ram. Will Abhay able to solve the kidnapping cases of the kids is what the story follows.
There are many violent scenes in almost all episodes of Abhay 2 and it is hard to watch it in one go. This web series is not for the faint hearted person.
In terms of acting, Kunal Khemu has surprised me a lot. Recently, we saw his spectacular performance in Lootcase movie released on July 31, 2020. Still, this web series will make you realise that Kunal is one of the most underrated actors of India. Apart from Kunal, Ram Kapoor is such a gem of an actor. I couldn’t even imagine Ram in such a violent role but he did it with such an ease.
Abhay 2 season 2 has ended on a cliff hanger and that means there will be definitely a third season. Right from the strong story to serious performances, the makers have made sure that the audience like it. The second season also stars Asha Negi as Sonam, Nidhi Singh as Khushboo, Chunky Pandey as Harsh, Raghav Juyal as Samar, Bidita Bag as Saloni and many others.
The budget of Abhay 2 web series hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it would be reportedly over 10 or 12 crores easily. Note, no official budget has been disclosed yet.
Abhay 2 has so far received positive reviews in a range of 3 to 3.5 stars around the corner from critics and audience. This series is definitely a hit in online space and soon we will going to witness Abhay season 3.
