Awarapan 2 movie has officially released in theaters on August 14, 2026. This film has been certified UA 16+ by Indian Censor Board with a runtime of 2 hours 20 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Emraan Hashmi aka Shivam Pandit, who was shot 6 times in the end of first film. Still, he is alive and doing odd jobs. One fine day, he spotted a child and started caring for him. He also named her Aliyah, on the name of her past love Shriya Saran aka Aliyah. Soon, the child has been kidnapped and now Shivam is on the run to find the human trafficer. Somehow he enters the trafficking gang of Puran Gabbi aka Zorawar. Will, Shivam able to save that girl child is what the story follows.
This film also stars Shabana Azmi aka Nafiza who is also playing a villianous role. This film also feature Disha Patani as the lady love and sister of Zorawar.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is good but the much needed emotion missing to some extent. The recall value of the first film was immense and the old songs did touch the hearts again. We all know that Awarapan (2007) was a flop film but I am sure this film will be a hit on a longer run. The dialogues are good but it could have been better. It takes time to enter the world of Shivam but once you enter than there is no return. The innocence and emotions of first film is definitely missing but still it holds you all thanks to the direction. Shriya Saran (in Dream) came in the second half and that’s where it felt like a complete circle. There are some strong emotional moments in the second half which makes me feel really happy. I still feel, it’s a good sequel and today’s GenZ will like it. The first half is superb and entertaining. The second half is bit slow but ends on a high note. Talking about the performances, Zorawar stole the show from Emraan and Shabana Azmi. The cinematography is superb and the entry scene is also fantastic. Not in the best of Emraan’s filmography but one of the best for sure. The screenplay is good but it could have been much better. The editing is just passable. The production value is good overall. The musical score has been given by Raju Singh and the songs were also decent. I likes the way the director connected the dots of both the films.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, this film has been produced by Vishesh Bhatt. It has been written by Bilal Siddiqui and cinematography done by Vishnu Rao. The editing is done by Devendra Murdeshwar. The Music has been given by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Jeet Gannguli and Akhil Sachdeva.
Altogether, Awarapan 2 movie is one time watch film for sure but Emraan fans can watch it multiple times. Talking about the comparison, it is just 50 percent to first film.
