Story: The story of this film revolves around 200 Dalit women of Nagpur who one day entered the courtroom and killed a molester Sahil Khattar aka Balli Chaudhary in side the courtroom. As these women wear scarf on their faces and so nobody recognizes them. Soon, we can see, five women of Rahi Nagar’s from Nagpur has been arrested in the murder charge of Balli Chaudhary and sent for life imprisonment.

A Retired judge Amol Palekar aka Dangle now wants to give justice to the five women and takes their case in a higher court. Will, the Balli Chaudhary murder mystery gets unfolded is what you need to watch in this film. It was a treat to see Amol Palekar back after a gap of 12 years, the last we saw him in Samaantar in 2009.

This movie also stars Rinku Rajguru as a dalit young woman, Upendra Limaye aka Police Inspector Suresh Patil, Sushama Deshpande aka Tarabai Kamble, Saloni Batra, Ishtiyak Khan, Flora Saini, Barun Sobti, Indraneil Sengupta and many others.

The early reviews of 200 Halla Ho is out and they are extremely positive in a range of 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5. This film also holds a rating of 7.9 out of 10 on IMDB.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: 200 Halla Ho is one of those films that talks about the Dalit women and their oppression. Such films used to get made in 70’s and 80’s era but than after makers refrain themselves from indulging in such stories for audience. Well, OTT has made this possible and what a brilliant film I have watched. I was just like curious child to see Amol Palekar’s role in this film, he nailed it. Rinku Rajguru is so talented that i am very much sure she has a long way to go. Sushama Deshpande, Barun Sobti, Upendra Limaye and others have done a remarkable job in this movie. It is a visually stunning film and heart touching as well.

My best scene of this film was, when 200 women enters the courtroom and takes revenge with Balli Chaudhary. That scene was more horrific than watching a horror film. There is a dialogue where Amol Palekar says that people love to read such Dalit atrocities news on newspaper but has left no empathy to such things. That monologue from Mr. Palekar will hit you hard. Another dialogue that stays with me, when Rinku Rajguru faces Amol Palekar and says, Why shouldn’t we mention about our dalit caste, if people every second reminds us of the same. Such hard-hitting dialogues will leave you numb for minutes. This film touches on various things and it is such a good film. The movie is raw and real. Not to forget, Sahil Khattar is the finding of this film, he played the lunatic molester so well that it really scare you. Overall, a brave attempt from the director for touching such sensitive subject and bringing it in front of the masses. The only drawback I find in this film, it looks a bit preachy in the middle which wasn’t needed. The rawness of this film has diluted by the monologue dialogues that could have been avoided to some extent.

200 Halla Ho movie has been co-written and directed by Sarthak Dasgupta. The story have been also written by Soumyajit Roy, and Abhijeet Das. Siddharth Anand Kumar and Vikram Mehra were the producers of this film. The musical department has been handled by Prateek Nandan and the cinematography done by Deep Metkar. Abhishek Seth is responsible for editing this film.

200 Halla Ho movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be in a range of 4 to 5 crores maximum.

Altogether, 200 Halla Ho is one of those films that will stick with you for a long time.

Last Word: Watch it for the story, direction, Amol Palekar, Rinku Rajguru and Upendra Limaye.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: 200 Halla Ho Review: Brilliant (80 Percent Out Of 100).
