12th Fail is the latest Hindi film which has hit the silver screens on October 27, 2023 in theaters. The film is based on 12th Fail Novel by Anurag Pathak and based on the lives of IPS Manoj Sharma and IRS Shraddha Joshi. Story: The story of this film revolves around Vikrant Massey aka Manoj Kumar Sharma who hails from Chambal, Madhya Pradesh. So, Manoj is a 12th fail and dare to dream big and want to become a big officer. Somehow, he goes to Delhi to start training for UPSC exams where he had only four attempts to clear the toughest exams in India. Will, Manoj able to do this and help his family to have a life full of dignity is what this story is all about.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is so captivating that you get engrossed into the movie since its beginning. The makers showed a journey of a young boy from 1999 to untill he cleared the UPSC exams. The screenplay was apt and it has showcased the journey in the best possible way. The cinematography adds value to the story. The dialogues were the highlight of this movie, which even make you cry at various intervals. The casting is so good that you can relate with almost all the characters in the movie. The movie gives a simple message that if you relentlessly try to do something, it happens. It motivates us to Never Give Up for something that you really want. The locations of Delhi, Agra, Chambal adds the rawness to this movie. The background music is also relatable and sometime you feel like watching old classics like Do Bigha Zameen (1953), Apu Trilogy (1955-1959). The film flows like a water on the big screen and hit you hard like a strong wave in your consciousness. This is a perfect example of cinema by legend Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The production value is great and you will feel connected in every scene. Talking about performances, I feel, Manoj, his father, his mother and his friend Vikas have given stellar performances in the movie.
This film has been written, co-produced, co-edited and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The cinematography has done by Rangarajan Ramabadran. The editing work have been handled well by Jaskunwar Kohli and Mr Chopra himself. The musical score has been given by Shantanu Moitra.
