This film has been directed by Tanuja Chandra, who has directed this film after a gap of 9 years. She has directed brilliant films like Dushman and Sangharsh in the past, and this latest film is one of her latest gems.

The story talks about a widow who feels to get mingle again in life, after the death of her husband. Here, she met Irrfan Khan, who didn’t marry yet and had critical breakups in the past. How they met online and then met in person follows the film story.

They rome, they talk and they get to know eachother. It is an unusual story and will not be liked by single screen audience. As, this is not a masala entertainer like Golmaal Again or Judwaa 2. It is a more specific film for the multiplexes audience. On the first day, Qarib Qarib Singlle has collected 1.75 crores at the box office. It is being made with a budget of 22 crores and have got over 1000 screens at the box office.

Altogether, Qarib Qarib Singlle first day collection is very low as per the expectations.
