Kantara Chapter 1 is the prequel of Kantara (2022) and it has released on October 2, 2025. The screen time of this fantasy action drama film is reportedly around 2 hours 48 minutes.
Story: The story follows about an unknown kid Berme aka Rishab Shetty found in the jungle and he is taken care by the people of Kantara jungle. On the other side, there is a Bangra kingdom which is being ruled by Gulshan Devaiah aka King. When, Kantara people led by Berme starts trading with others it is not been liked by King, who earlier used to trade instead of Kantara people. This led to a kind of war between the king and Kantara people. What happens next falls the rest of the story. There is also a question who is the kid found in the jungle? What’s his past is also crucial part of the story.
This film also stars Rukmini Vasanth, and Jayaram Subramaniam.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story of this film is good but the presentation is up to the mark. The first part is not up to the mark and it looked liked abit scattered. It is the. Second half which works well in terms of screenplay. This movie is decently made but it is not up to the level of first movie. The interval block is great and the second half is where the real story lies. The background music is good and it elevates the story. The movie seems loud which could have been avoided. Talking about performances, Rishabh has did a good job along with Rukmini. I think Gulshan role could have been much better. This movie will be liked in South but in Hindi it might not get the kind of response the makers were expecting. The cinematography is decent. Hindi dubbing is ok but it could have been much better. The production value is great which makes this film looks believable. The strong emotions are missing in this film still it is a one time watch. The action sequences are great which is also highlight of this film.
