Undekhi season 2 has officially released on OTT platform SONYLIV on March 4, 2022. The total screen time of this web series is around 6 hours. Every episode is in a range of 28 to 30 minutes each. This is a direct sequel to Undekhi Season 1 which was released in 2020.
Story: In the first season, we see Abhishek Chauhan aka Rishi who is a photographer and captured Harsh Chhaya aka Papaji (Atwal family head) killing a dancer in a marriage party. In the end of the season 1, Rishi was killed by Surya Sharma aka Rinku Paaji who is like a son and working for Papaji. Well, Rinku and his men is now behind another dancer Apeksha Porwal aka Koyal, who has seen her friend killed in front of her. On the other hand, Papaji real son Ankur Rathee aka Daman Atwal along with her fiance Anchal Singh aka Teji Atwal, wants to have a control over Papaji business which is currently run by Rinku and his man. Amidst all these, Dibyendu Bhattacharya aka DSP Barun Ghosh, come all the way from West Bengal only to save the adivasi girl Koyal who is currently hiding from Rinku men. There are lot of things going on in this web series and you will only understand this if you have seen the Undekhi Season 1. Will, Rinku able to find Koyal? Will Daman takeover the business from Rinku? and will Koyal take the revenge of her friend? is what you need to watch in this series.
This series also stars Ayn Zoya, Karmveer Choudhary, Mandeep Bamra, Vaarun Bhagat, Meiyang Chang, Jamie Alter, Tej Sapru, Nandish Sandhu and many others.
Undekhi 2 early reviews are out now and they are in a range of 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Undekhi season 1 was a sleeper hit and turned out to be of the most viewed series on OTT space. The casting of this series is brilliant and that’s why you believe in the role of each of the characters. Even, small characters make an impact here. The story presentation is good enough to keep you hooked for around 6 long hours. If I had to compare this season with the first one, then the first season was more surprising and believable. This second season hardly shows emotions of the characters, it is more of ruthless and full of action. Talking about characters, Rinku Paaji, DSP Ghosh and Paaji character are the most loved ones here. The makers did a great job to make this series convincible. The screenplay is decent but it could have been better. The writing is good but it has lot of bad words here and there, which might not being liked by many. Still, the magic of the first season seems missing here.
Undekhi Season 2 movie has been directed by Ashish R Shukla and produced by Sameer Nair, Jyoti Sagar, Sidharth Sengupta, and Deepak Segal. The story and screenplay have been written by Mahendra Pratap Singh and Sidharth Sengupta. The cinematography has been done by Murzi Pagdiwala. The editing work helmed by Rajesh Pandey.
Undekhi Season 2 budget hasn’t been revealed yet but it could be reportedly around 15 to 18 crores maximum.
Undekhi 2 is one of those web series that taken off well but didn’t create the impact at the end it was expected.
