At a time, when big films are taking a theatrical route, Farhan Akhtar decided the opposite of it by releasing his upcoming film Toofan on OTT Platform. As per the latest update by Excel Entertainment, Toofan movie is officially releasing on Amazon Prime on May 21, 2021.

The makers of Toofan also planned to release the teaser of this film on March 12, 2021 followed by a trailer and songs. Farhan Akhtar is playing a fictional character of a boxer in this movie. Apart from that, this film also features Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Raaz, Paresh Rawal, Darshan Kumar, Supriya Pathak, Mohan Agashe in key roles.
This film has be helmed by Bhaag Milkha Bhaag fame Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. This film has been written by Vijay Maurya and Anjum Rajabali.
The budget of Toofan hasn’t been revealed yet but it would reportedly be over 50 to 60 crores. Toofan might have been sold with a big amount to Amazon Prime but the official figures hasn’t been revealed. Still, the OTT platform would have bought this film easily in 60 to 70 crores range or even more.
