The Power is the latest English film released in United Kingdom on Shudder OTT platform on April 8, 2021 and BMS Stream on April 9, 2021. The screentime of this film is around 1 hour 32 minutes.

The story of this film is set in 1973 in Britain based Hospital where a new recruit has been hired as a staff nurse. The lead nurse role Valerie played by Rose Williams, who got a night shift on the very first day on her joining. Well, there is power cut issue due to miners strike in Britain. So there is no light in night in this Hospital too. Soon, most of the hospital staff leaves after their day shift and Valerie has no choice and she has to stay for night shift to get a job. In the night time, she started experiencing some supernatural phenomena and even hearing strange voice. The ghost is trying to torture Valerie at regular intervals. Valerie also got to know that a staff doctor has raped and killed a girl in the basement of this hospital. Will Valerie able to save her life from the darkness and the ghost is what you need to watch here.
This film also stars Mark Smith, Diveen Henry, Maria Major, Charlie Carrick, Anjelica Serra and many others.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The Power has some frightening visuals and scare moments. I like the horror feel of the 70s era that is visible in this movie. This is a hospital based horror film and I completely loved it. The last 15 minutes of this film is scary and here’s when we got to know that why the ghost is choosing Valerie. When I understand the whole story, I feel that how inhuman can a person be. A doctor who has a task to save life is the one who is taking life here. This film is hard hitting and disturbing at the very same time. The final scene where Valerie runs away with other two girls is the most epic scene I find in this film. Though its not the best horror movies but still a good one that will literally scare you.
The Power movie has been written and directed by Corinna Faith. Corinna had did a great job as a director. The cinematography has been done by Laura Bellingham and she took some really spooky visuals. The editing work has been handled by Tommy Boulding and Rebecca Lloyd. This film has been produced by Rob Watson, Matthew James Wilkinson.
The Power movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet by the makers but it would be reportedly be around USD 15 to 20 million(maximum 149 crores).
Altogether, The Power is one of those horror films that I would recommend to other cinephile.
