There is no better launchpad in Bollywood than Karan Johar and his production. They have produced Dhadak, which is an official remake of Marathi film Sairat. Reviews started pouring in for this film which states that it is nothing close to Sairat.

One common thing every critic said about Dhadak is, Ishaan Khatter has stole the show and he is here to stay in Bollywood. He was earlier seen in Beyond The Clouds movie, where his acting skills were praised by Iranian director Majid Majidi.

Janhvi Kapoor, who debuted with Dhadak in Hindi film Industry, couldn’t able to hit the bullseye. She is good with looks and dance but acting skills were less. Critics said that she need to work on diction and dialogue delivery.

Another strong character of this film is Ashutosh Rana whose character Ratan Singh was being praised by critics.

The story is about lovers from upper and lower class and how they get into troubles when the elders know about it. It is based on love story with honour killing theme that has shocked the whole Film fans when they saw Sairat.

The original Marathi film was helmed by Nagraj Manjule and the Hindi version Dhadak is being directed by Shashank Khaitaan. He has earlier helmed light-hearted films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania but he didn’t gave full justice to Dhadak, as compare to Sairat. The music is good which is being composed by Ajay-Atul. The screenplay is dragged in Dhadak. There are surprise in films but only bits and parts.

Overall, Dhadak is not close to Sairat as per Bollywood media critics review.
