There are four episodes in this series in which Forget Me Not and Bahrupiya were directed by Srijit Mukherji. Other two episodes Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa helmed by Abhishek Chaubey and Spotlight by Vasan Bala. These webseries features actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Kay Kay Menon, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Ali Faizal.

Bahrupiya- features Kay Kay Menon who thinks that he can be any person he wants to with the help of makeup. Will he able to achieve the perfection in makeup and disguise anyone is the crux of the story.

Forget Me Not- talks about an ambitious businessman Ali Faizal who thinks that he don’t forget anything in life. He hurts his employees, have extramarital affair and even give a small job to his best friend. He is actually a selfish person who indirectly hurts others. What turns next is really ugly and you must watch.

Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa- talks about a shayar Musafir Ali aka Manoj Bajpayee, who has a habit to stole things from others. One fine day, he met with Gajaraj Rao in train, he stoles his precious watch named Khudabaksh. Again after 10 years, they met on a train and things get weird minutes after minutes. Will, Musafir Ali return Rao’s watch is what you need to watch here.

For a shoot, Vik reaches Rajasthan and starts residing in a palatial hotel room. Vik’s popularity takes a U-turn when a self styled God-woman takes his room and he had to shift to some other room. He thought that who the hell is she and why people giving so much respect to her. Will, Vik become devotee of God-woman and become a good actor is what you need to watch here.

The early reviews of Ray movie is out and they are in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 stars. This webseries currently holds 8 stars ratings out of 10 on IMDB.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Out of all these four webseries, I personally got entertained more with Manoj Bajpayee and Gajraj Rao starrer episode. One of the scariest one was Bahrupiya and the performance of Kay Kay Menon were superb. Ali Faizal did well but it has its own flaws. Spotlight was interesting but turns boring in the end. Still, Harshvardhan Kapoor looks dapper cool and he can be the next Anil Kapoor of Bollywood. The cinematography and production value was great and the whole series kept me going. I think its an honest attempt to give tribute to Satyajit Ray. Still, none of these four episodes are anywhere near to the shots of master storyteller Satyajit Ray. His cinema were magical and it will always be relevant.

Ray webseries has been produced by Viacom18 Studios. The series has been written by Niren Bhatt and Siraj Ahmed. All these four stories have originally being written by late legendary Indian director Satyajit Ray.

Ray movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it would reportedly be around 30 to 35 crores maximum.

Altogether, Ray webseries is watchable for atleast once. Expecting more from the filmmakers but got only few chills. Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa and Behrupiya are two best things I felt here. Rest two were OK.

Last word: Ray webseries promises to deliver but misses the goal abit.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: Ray Webseries Review- First Class (60 percent out of 100).
