Mom film which has hit the theaters last Friday (July 7, 2017) is currently running in the second weekend. At the latest, Mom movie’s 8th-day collection is out now and there is a big drop in the collections.

In one week, Sridevi starring Mom film has able to rake 23.80 crores at the box office as per film experts. The second Friday, it faced two new releases Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos and Hollywood film War For The Planet Of The Apes. Even it is facing a tough clash with Spiderman Homecoming, which was released along with Mom film. The second Friday, Mom film has able to collect just 1 crore and makes the total to 24.80 crores. It has already beaten the lifetime records of Begum Jaan (over 17 crores), which released earlier this year.

Sridevi was last seen in 2012 hit film English Vinglish, which was a sleeper hit. And in Bollywood, its hard to get a meaty role, especially for the actresses when she is over 50. But, luckily, Sridevi got that role and played a memorable character. Even in Mom, her character was incredible and overwhelming. Interestingly, it was Sridevi’s 300th film and that’s too much of work in a lifetime.

Directed by debutant Ravi Udyawar, Mom film also stars extremely talented actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as DK. In this film, we have also lucky enough to see Akshaye Khanna in one of his best roles as a Crime Branch Officer. The film also stars two accomplished Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in key roles.

Altogether, it was one of the best pieces of cinema released in Bollywood in 2017.
