Malik is the latest Malayalam film which released on Amazon Prime on July 15, 2021. The screentime of this political crime drama genre film is around 2 hours 41 minutes.
The story of this film revolves around Fahadh Faasil aka Alikka aka Sulaiman who starts smuggling goods in the 80s and soon become one of the powerful people in Ramadappally area in Kerala. Sulaiman along with his three other accomplice get into the world of smuggling and made a living out of it. Later, we can see, Sulaiman and his other friends parted ways due to unrest in different communities Ramadappally. Still, Sulaiman holds a strong power among people in that area and even police had to take permission to enter in Ramadappally. Sulaiman builds a school and someone from other community exploded bomb in it which led many students death. Infuriated Sulaiman kills the responsible person for the school blast. This is just the beginning in Sulaiman’s life as things do take an ugly turn in his life in 90s and early 2000. Will he remain Malik for all the people of Ramadappally or someone will take his place is what you want to see in this film. Nimisha Sajayan aka Roselyn essays the role of Sulaiman’s wife in this movie.
This movie also feature Vinay Forrt aka Sulaiman’s friend David, Dinesh Prabhakar, Jalaja aka Sulaiman’s mother, Salim Kumar, Joju George aka Anwar Ali, Divya Prabha, Dileesh Pothan, Indrans and many others.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Fahadh Faasil as Sulaiman has outdone all of his previous works. He is so brilliant in his acting that you would just look at him for around 3 hours and still you want him more. Other character artists also supported him very well. Mahesh Narayanan hold on this film was strong from start to end. There wasn’t any loophole or flaw I find in this film. It is no less than a masterpiece film that can only be watched in theaters not on OTT. I am so amazed with its story and its intricate characters. The director did a great job for making such wonderful movie. The production value was good and the 80 and 90s era were aptly shown. This film was high on emotions and you can easily connect with it. There were many scenes that will shock you in this film. Especially, when someone throws firebowl and killed a jail prisoner while entering in the jail was a shocker for me. It’s one of those films that will stay with you for long.
Malik movie has been directed, written and edited by Mahesh Narayanan. It has been produced by Anto Joseph. The cinematography work has been done by Sanu Varghese and the music work handled by Sushin Shyam.
Malik movie budget is reportedly around 27 crores plus. It is one of the costliest Malayalam films in recent years.
Altogether, Malik is one of the best Indian films released in 2021. This is an outright big film in every possible way.
