Dilip Kumar Saab No More, Bollywood Lost It’s Eyes

Legendary Thespian actor Dilip Kumar is no more and it is the black day for Bollywood on July 7, 2021. As early as 7 am, the news from Hinduja Hospital from Mumbai came out that, our beloved star has passed away due to health related issues at the age of 98.

Earlier on July 5, Saira Banu quoted, “We are grateful for God’s infinite mercy on Dilip Sahib that his health is improving. We are still in hospital and request your prayers and duas so that Insha’Allah he is healthy and discharged soon. Saira Banu Khan.”

Now, relative of Dilip Kumar saab, Faisal Farooqui quoted on Dilip Kumar’s Twitter Handle, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. – Faisal Farooqui.”

Dilip Kumar was born on December 1, 1922 in Peshawar and died on July 7, 2021. He debuted in Hindi films with Bombay Talkies film Jwar Bhata (1944) and went on to do many incredible films in a career spanning almost 60 years.

Aan (1952), Daag (1952), Devdas (1955), Azaad (1955), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Gunga Jamuna (1961), Ram Aur Shyam (1967), Kranti (1981) and many more. His last film was released as Qila in (1998). He is also remembered as The Tragedy King of Hindi Cinema. Dilip Kumar’s death has left his wife Saira Banu in deep grief with whom she married in 1966.

Altogether, the passing of Dilip Kumar is a grave loss to Indian Cinema and World Cinema. In simple words, I could easily say that Bollywood has lost its eyes today!
