Released in December 23, 2016 in India, Dangal has able to break all the previous earning records and become the highest grossing Bollywood movie. It has collected 387 crores in its lifetime run in India, which is still a difficult task to achieve by any other Bollywood films.

In China, Dangal has collected a gross total of 1258.65 crores in its lifetime run. This film was being watched by over 4 crores people in China, which is also a big record. This film has made Aamir Khan a superstar in China, which is a rare thing for any Bollywood actors.
