Dangal has not only ruled at the 70 mm screens but it also won the hearts of television audience. If we talk about the latest TRP rating, Dangal has overpowered biggies like Raees and Kaabil in TRP.

Dangal, which was released on December 23, 2016, met with a tremendous response at the silver screen. Aamir Khan starrer film has collected 387 crores nett collection in India. When it was premiered on television it garnered a TRP rating of 4.3, which is higher than other Bollywood movies. This speaks the volume of Dangal impact on the audience.

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees also got its premiere on TV but it wasn’t able to give any tough competition to Aamir’s Dangal. Raees just garnered 1.6 TRP ratings, which is very less in terms of Dangal’s 4.3 ratings.

If we talk about Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, it has got a TRP rating of 2.37 on the TV screens. This shows that audience has even liked Hrithik but they didn’t give much importance to SRK’s Raees. Both these movies couldn’t able to beat Dangal’s TRP rating. Interestingly, Raees and Kaabil was released on the same date on January 25, 2017. Both the movies have even crossed the 100 crores magical mark. Raees lifetime collection in India stands with a total of 139 crores whereas Kaabil’s total was 126 crores.

Even, Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 has performed better than Raees and Kaabil with a TRP rating of 3.83 but it couldn’t beat the Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial movie Dangal.

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film was based on the real-life wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and their two daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat. The movie also stars Zaira Wasim, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sakshi Tanwar, Atul Kulkarni in key roles.

This shows that even the biggest movies of 2017 couldn’t able to beat Dangal in TRP race.
