It is an animated film made by frame to frame by 60 artists in a period of 18 months. The screentime of this film is around 1 hour 37 minutes.

The story of this film talks about Amit Deondi aka Salim who is an orphan and earns in living by selling flowers on Mumbai street. One fine day, he saw a girl named Cyli Khare aka Kamala on the opposite side of the streets. He instantly falls in love for her but soon he got to know that she works as a bar dancer to earn the living. Well, Salim is a Muslim boy and Kamala is Hindu girl, will they ever have a happy ending is what the story follows.
The early reviews of Bombay Rose is out and they are in a range of 4 to 4.5 stars out of 5. This film received 83 percent on the Rotten Tomatoes. It also hold 5.7 stars ratings out of 10 on IMDB.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: I don’t know what others will say or react to it, for me it’s a masterpiece. If you have born and lived in Bombay now Mumbai, you will definitely love this film like anyone else. It’s a romantic tale no less than Casablanca or Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. I mean to say, this film is an animation tribute to Bollywood and Bombay people. I am just moved by the visuals and the detailing work in this 2D animation. This film will remind you Bollywood movies from 50s to 90s era like no one else. There is so much love and pain in this film, which you can relate to. The hustle bustle of Bombay is aptly shown in this movie.
The budget of Bombay Rose hasn’t been known but it would reportedly be in few crores.
Altogether, Bombay Rose is a beautiful animated film that you shouldn’t miss at any cost.
