Blackpink Light Up The Sky Review, Hit Or Flop On OTT?

Netflix has released their latest documentary Blackpink: Light Up The Sky on October 14, 2020. It is the first documentary that talk about K-pop culture, which means Korean Pop culture.

The story talks about K-pop band Blackpink that debuted in 2016 and how with in four years, they become world renowned. This documentary features the four band members of the Blackpink band- Jennie, Lisa, Jisso and Rose. How these girls at a tender age has been selected by YG Entertainment company and groomed for many years to launch them as Blackpink. This is an emotionally draining at one end and exiting on the other hand.

As soon as this documentary released, it has got 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It also got 8.2 rating on IMDB website. It also got 3.5 to 4 stars rating out of 5 from various critics.

Blackpink documentary has been directed by Caroline Suh and produced by Dave Sirulnick. It is a 79 minutes documentary which is full of life and zest. The cinematography has been done by Lake McCoubrey and edited by Peter Holmes. This documentary has been released in Korean, Thai and English.

The best thing about this documentary is, it is raw and real. It not only talk about the popularity of the Blackpink girls but also their struggles to the top.
