AR Rahman Reveals, There Is Whole Gang Working Against Me In Bollywood

Indian music composer and Oscar award winner AR Rahman reveals a bitter truth of our so called Bollywood music industry. Rahman blames that there is whole gang in Bollywood who is working against him.

In an interview to Radio Mirchi, AR Rahman reveals, “I don’t say no to good movies, but I think there is a gang, which, due to misunderstandings, is spreading some false rumours. When Mukesh Chhabra came to me, I gave him four songs in two days. He told me, ‘Sir, how many people said don’t go, don’t go to him (AR Rahman) and they told me stories after stories.’ I heard that, and I realised, yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less (work in Hindi films) and why the good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies, because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm.”

AR Rahman is a renowned music composer in the world and if he speaks so, that means it is the bitter truth of Bollywood music industry. He didn’t named any specific person but he is being hurt is pretty clear.

Earlier, Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam also targets Tseries head Bhushan Kumar claiming that they are favouring nepotism in Bollywood by not giving much space to the new talents.

Every year, there are music talent shows get launched and promises to give them break in the music industry. Now, the biggest question is, if a senior music singer and composer is getting treated in such a way that what will be the situation of the new comers in the industry.

In the past, AR Rahman given music to Pardes, Dil Se, OK Jaanu and latest Dil Bechara. He mostly compose music for South film industry and rarely work in Bollywood now a days.
