Ajeeb Daastaans is the latest Hindi anthology film that released on Netflix on April 16, 2021. The screentime of this film is around 2 hours 22 minutes overall.

There are four short stories in this movie. Majnu has been directed by Shashank Khaitan starting Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat and Armaan Ralhan. Khilaona movie has been directed by Raj Mehta featuring Nushrat Bharucha, Abhishek Banerjee and Inayat Verma. Geeli Pucchi has been directed by Neeraj Ghaywan starring Konkana Sen Sharma and Aditi Rao Hydari. Ankahi has been helmed by Kayoze Irani and stars Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul and Tota Roy Chowdhury.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Out of these four short stories I personally liked the third one Geeli Pucchi featuring Konkana and Aditi. I must salute to Neeraj Ghaywan for directing this. I am blown away completely with Neeraj’s short flick. The first one Majnu was good, especially Fatima shines in her role as a unsatisfied wife. The second film Khilaona highlight was the small girl, she did great acting. Nushrat did a great job too. In the fourth part, I liked Manav and Shefali and their sweet sign language chemistry. The musical score in the fourth short film is so romantic and beautiful. Overall, it is one of those movie that you shouldn’t miss it, mainly the Geeli Pucchi. The big starcast and unusual stories are the plus point of this anthology Ajeeb Daastaans.
Ajeeb Daastaans has been produced by Karan Johar by der Dharmatic Entertainment. Ajeeb Daastaans budget hasn’t been revealed yet by the makers but it would reportedly be in a range of 18 to 20 crores maximum.
Altogether, Ajeeb Daastaans is one of those anthology film that is good to watch on OTT space. I wish someone give Konkana Sen Sharma an award for her awesome performance.
