After The Tashkent Files, Vivek Agnihotri announces The Kashmir Files

Bollywood director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has shocked everyone when he released his film The Tashkent Files on April 12, 2019. You wouldn’t believe if I tell you that this film was remained in the theaters for over 100 days. Yes, this is a rare feat which even big films couldn’t achieve. And now the makers has decided to come up with a new film titled as The Kashmir Files.

I still remember many self proclaimed A-List Bollywood Critics have failed to review this film and there was no promotions done at all. Inspite of that, The Tashkent Files has able to earn 17.21 crores at the box office. It faced a clash with almost all the big films for three months but managed to earn a good total.

The movie was reviewed by few critics and claimed at one of the best films of 2019. It starred Naseeruddin Shah, Mithun Chakraborty, Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Basu Prasad and many more.

And now, the director has announced another controversial project The Kashmir Files. At the latest, he has released the first poster of the film, where Kashmir map can be seen in blood. The poster also has a tagline which says, “The Right To Truth Continues.”

As we know, Modi led government has revoked Article 370 and 35A lately where Jammu And Kashmir is now not being termed as a special state. Apart from that, Jammu and Kashmir and Laddakh had now being named as a Union Territory.

That means, its a good story for any film director to revive it on 70 mm screens. The film will reportedly going to release on August 2020. Note: No starcast has been finalised yet.
