Spiderman Homecoming Opens With Good Occupancy In Indian Box Office

One of the favorite superheroes in the world is Spiderman and the latest outing Spiderman Homecoming getting a tremendous response across the world. In India, Tom Holland starrer Spiderman Homecoming getting a good response on the silver screens. And the latest morning audience occupancy report is enough to say that Spiderman Homecoming will earn a good money on the first day at the box office.

A few months back, Spiderman Homecoming trailer was released in India in 10 different languages. So that most number of the audience get attracted to the movie. It has been released across the world and it is expected that the film will cross 200 million dollars worldwide on the Day 1 itself. Talking about India, it has been released in four different languages English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. As audience don’t have any big Bollywood movies on the silver screen, so they will surely go for this Tom Holland film.

Managing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment India, Vivek Krishnani said, “We take pride in finding innovative ways to engage with the audiences that often turn out to be the trend setters for the industry. We wanted to give Spider-Man a hero’s welcome and what better way than people of India welcoming him to their homes in their own language. India loves Spider-Man and the franchise has seen unprecedented success at the Indian box office. ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming‘ is going to be larger, bigger than its previous outings as this installment blends with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Spiderman Homecoming received an audience occupancy of 35-40 percent across India in the morning shows. It is a clear sign that the first-day occupancy report would get close to 50 or 55 percent. This Hollywood movie is facing a tough competition with Sridevi starring Mom movie in India. As Mom is more of like an art house film, so mainstream cinema audience will opt for Hollywood one.

Till now, Spiderman Homecoming is the third best opener in India after Fast & Furious 8 and xXx – Return Of Xander Cage. Directed by Jon Watts, the film also stars Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Tyne Daly, Donald Glover,  Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. in key roles.

Altogether, Spiderman Homecoming is being hugely welcomed by Indian fans and critics on Day 1.
