Radhika Apte and Akshay Kumar starring Padman movie have completed its 4th day at the box office. This film has witnessed a 40 percent drop in the collections on its first Monday as compared to its first day.
The reason behind the drop is a stiff competition with Padmaavat, which is still doing amazing business in its third week. Padman has collected 10.26 crores on its first day. It has earned 13.68 crores on its second day and 16.11 crores on its third day. It has collected around 5.87 crores on its fourth day, which takes the total collection to over 45.92 crores. It will cross 50 crores collection on its fifth day.
Made with a 20 crores budget, Padman story is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who started making low-cost sanitary napkins for village women, He was even awarded Padmshri from Government Of India, for his amazing work.
Directed by R Balki, this film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo role. This film got released in 3250 screens worldwide, in which 2750 screens for India. This film is being produced by Twinkle Khanna and this film is based on her book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad.
Altogether, Padman has recovered its budget and will be a super hit film.
