Akshay Kumar starting Padman has completed 2 days at the box office in a glorious way. It has shown a big growth of 35 percent on the second day. It has collected over 20 crores in two days, which is a good sign for the movie.

Made with a 20 crores budget, Padman was released in 3350 screens worldwide, out of which 600 screens for overseas. It has earned 10.26 crores on day 1 and 13.68 crores on Day 2. Till now it has raked 23.94 crores.

Padman is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who started making low-cost sanitary pads for village women. For his noble work, he was awarded Padmshri Award (fourth highest Civilian Award) from Indian Government.
