Gold movie has witnessed a surprising growth on day 3 and helped this film to cross 40 crores in total.

Released on Independence Day, Gold was released in 3000 plus screens and made with a hefty budget of 80 crores. This film has surprised fans when it went on to collect 25.25 crores on day 1. The second day collection seen a drop and it managed to earn 8 crores. The third day box office collection is 10.50 crores to 11 crores and takes the three days total around 43.50 crores to 44 crores.

Despite of getting rave reviews from the critics, this film failed to hold it strong in single screens, which was mainly dominated by another film Satyameva Jayate. Still, Gold has managed to witness a 30 percent growth in collection on third day.

Gold is a content driven film and that may be a strong reason why single screen audience prefering John’s film over Akshay.

Directed by Reema Kagti, Gold movie also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Sunny Singh and Mouni Roy in key roles.

Altogether, one thing is clear that Gold will have a good run at the box office that will last after a month.
